We obtain information about you when you use our website or blog, for example, when you contact us about products and services, to place an order, to request a catalogue and if you register to receive our newsletters or special offers.

If you place an order online or purchase a product from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processor, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. Global Chair Components is fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 3.2 valid until 06/01/2022. We currently use Worldpay (UK) Limited & Elavon Opayo (fully compliant with the PCI DSS version 3.2 valid until 15/02/2022) to process these payments for us.

HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION?
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. We work with Service providers - such as credit card processors, consultants, and email marketing companies, in order to support Global Chair websites and business operations. We contractually require these recipients to only use personal data for the intended purpose of the disclosure and that they destroy or return it when it is no longer needed.

We do not currently undertake phone or text marketing. Where we do ask for your phone number, this is for order support. Please note: Some of our products can only be purchased if we have this information and this is shown on our website or catalogue and is not used for marketing.

All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK, however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union.
